75 years of trust and innovation brings you the System C R290 Heat Pump - our most advanced and sustainable HVAC solution
R290 Air-To-Water Heat Pump
The System C R290 Heat Pump, a novel compact and networked heat pump technology, can be used in any situation where excellent performance is needed. An air-to-water R290 heat pump works by extracting thermal energy from the outside air, even in cold conditions, and transferring it to water for use in heating systems or hot water supply. The process begins when a fan draws in outdoor air, and the natural refrigerant R290 (propane) absorbs this heat. The refrigerant is then compressed, which increases its temperature, and passes through a heat exchanger where it releases its heat to water. This heated water is distributed throughout the building for space heating or domestic hot water. The system can also operate in reverse to provide cooling during warmer months. R290 is an environmentally friendly refrigerant with excellent efficiency and the ability to deliver high water temperatures. The System C comes in two different models, the LA 2030CP and LA 4060CP to allow to flexibility for projects of different scales.
Smart warmth, quiet comfort
The Dimplex System C is a Air-to-water pump for outdoor installation with wall-mounted heat pump manager, touch display and integrated gateway for integration in a LAN network and control via the Dimplex Home App. System C helps to heat your building and provide hot water. It uses a special eco-friendly gas and smart technology to save energy. It works quietly and can handle cold weather well. You can control it easily, and it has safety features to keep everything running smoothly. It’s made to be installed outside and plugs into your home’s power supply. Overall, it’s a reliable and efficient way to keep your house warm and cosy.
System C Highlights
Great performance
With the master controller, up to 14 heat pumps can be operated in parallel and provide heating capacities of up to approximately 500 kW. The heat pump manager takes over the central control of heating, cooling, domestic hot water and swimming pool water preparation, operates up to three heating and cooling circuits.
Excellent efficiency
Our advanced heat pump system delivers high efficiency in both new and existing buildings. It works seamlessly achieving performance at 55°C that older systems only managed with underfloor heating at 35°C. With flow temperatures up to 70°C, it ensures hot water above 60°C throughout the year.
Outstanding reliability
Comprehensive service packages with an optional warranty extension of up to twelve years ensure even greater satisfaction. Modern industrial design with compact dimensions and made in Germany: System C® is particularly weather resistant thanks to the powder-coated sheet steel cladding.
Outstanding flexibility
Our heat pump manager easily connects with existing systems like oil or gas boilers, and supports solar thermal, wood-fired, and photovoltaic setups. It intelligently manages everything via a single control unit. With the Dimplex Home app, it can automatically adjust to electricity prices.
Sustainable
Dimplex heat pumps that use R290 refrigerant exemplify sustainable technology, as they rely on a natural refrigerant with very low global warming potential, significantly reducing the environmental impact of home heating.
Natural Refrigerant R290
High-Quality Design & Sustainable Performance
Our sustainable heat pump features a compact outdoor unit that blends seamlessly into any environment. Built with durable, powder-coated steel and minimal plastic, it includes a weather-resistant aluminum heat exchanger for long-lasting performance. Developed and manufactured in Germany, it uses the natural refrigerant R290—an eco-friendly solution with no ozone depletion and low global warming potential. R290’s excellent thermodynamic properties enable high efficiency and support flow temperatures up to 70°C, making it ideal for renovations with existing radiators.
Safety Clearances for Elevated Installation
For outdoor installations, strict compliance with safety guidelines and clearance distances is essential for proper system activation.
- The heat pump must be positioned at least 80 cm away from any wall.
- If mounted on a wall and elevated by 40 cm, a safety zone of 1 meter around the unit must be maintained.
- This protected area must remain free of any openings (such as windows, doors, or ventilation outlets) and ignition sources (including electrical sockets, switches, or lighting fixtures).
- Any building penetrations within this zone must be sealed airtight.
- The designated safety area must not encroach upon neighbouring properties or public pathways.
Areas of application
Whether in large single-family homes, multi-family residential complexes, townhouses, office buildings, supermarkets, doctors' offices, workshops, shops, commercial halls, sports facilities and restaurants, craft businesses, logistics centers, schools, kindergartens, libraries, administrative buildings – System C® heat pumps can be used efficiently for heating, cooling, and hot water preparation in a wide range of areas.
